John L. Wagner, CPA

John Wagner has over 35 years of public accounting experience. He began his career in the Dallas office of Ernst & Young (formerly Arthur Young & Company). His responsibilities began as a member of the audit division and continued until 1981 at which time he formed the accounting firm of Day & Wagner. His practice provided tax and accounting services primarily to businesses and their owners and he has significant experience in the areas of real estate, oil and gas, and manufacturing.

John received his BBA from the University of Texas at Austin in 1973. In January 2001, he merged his practice to form Wagner, Eubank & Nichols, L.L.P.

Donald W. Eubank, CPA

Donald Eubank has over 30 years of experience in both public accounting and private industry. He began his career as an audit staff member at Baucum, Hyde & Reese, a large public accounting firm in Houston, Texas (subsequently acquired by Ernst & Young). His responsibilities included analysis of accounting procedures, analysis of internal controls and preparation of audited financial statements.

In 1984, he accepted the position of Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for a Qwest Microwave, a telecommunications business. He subsequently became the President and CEO of the company and assisted in the negotiation and sale of substantially all its assets to MCI Telecommunications.

Don received a MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a BBA from Texas A&M. He formed a Certified Public Accounting firm in 1988 and worked as a sole proprietor until merging his practice to form Eubank, Wofford & Nichols, L.L.P. in 1997, which was merged to form Wagner, Eubank & Nichols, L.L.P. in 2001.

Larry W. Nichols, CPA

Larry Nichols has over 30 years of experience in the accounting, tax and financial areas. His accounting career began with KPMG Peat Marwick where he focused on small to mid-size companies. He gained initial experience as an auditor and later provided tax and accounting services to privately owned businesses and individuals.

In 1986, Larry joined Recognition Equipment, Inc., a $250 million high technology company and was responsible for their worldwide internal audit. Subsequently, he was responsible for divisional financial planning and accounting and was also responsible for developing the long-term financial plan for the company.

Larry received his MBA and BBA from the University of Texas at Arlington. In 1996, he joined Donald Eubank and in 1997 became part of Eubank, Wofford & Nichols, L.L.P. which was merged to form Wagner, Eubank & Nichols, L.L.P. in 2001.

Mike N. Nabors, CPA

Mike Nabors has over 30 years of experience in both public accounting and private industry. He started with KMG Main Hurdman in Midland and Dallas primarily providing audit services to the banking and oil and gas industries. Other industry experience included newspapers, manufacturing, non-profit entities, and litigation support/forensic services. He has also previously served as the CFO for a Dallas home builder for two years.

Mike received a BBA from the University at Texas at Austin. In 1997 he joined Eubank, Wofford & Nichols, L.L.P. which became part of Wagner, Eubank & Nichols, L.L.P. in 2001.

Peter R. Moore, CPA

Peter Moore has over 15 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant in public accounting with a primary focus on accounting and tax services. His career began as a staff accountant with a large public accounting firm in Shreveport, Louisiana. He is actively involved in tax planning and compliance for real estate partnerships and high-net worth individuals and also provides overall accounting and tax consulting services for a wide array of clients in various industries.

Peter received his BS in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana, where he was an active member of an international professional business fraternity and the Accounting Society. In 1996 he joined Eubank, Wofford & Nichols, L.L.P., which became part of Wagner, Eubank & Nichols, L.L.P. in 2001.

 

Lon M. Houseman, CPA

Lon Houseman has over 30 years experience in public accounting, taxation and private investment.  His accounting career began with KPMG Peat Marwick in 1978 where he specialized in Federal income taxation in various industries including real estate, financial institutions and oil and gas.  His client base included small, medium and large businesses as well as individuals, estates, trusts and partnerships.

After spending several years managing private investments, Lon returned to public accounting, first as a partner with Huselton and Morgan, PC and for the last 17 years as a partner in Houseman Seeligson LLP.  Houseman Seeligson provided tax and accounting services for a diversified client base of small to medium sized businesses, closely held family groups and individuals.

In January 2012, Lon merged his existing accounting practice and became a partner in Wagner, Eubank & Nichols, L.L.P.  In addition to joining WEN, Lon formed a family office affiliate knows as Houseman Advisors LLC.  With an emphasis on family values and lasting legacies, Houseman Advisors will confidentially oversee and manage the complex financial affairs of a select set of closely held family groups.

Throughout his career, Lon has remained active in numerous community and civic affairs.

Lon received a BBA with Honors (1976) and a MPA (Taxation) (1977) from the University of Texas-Austin.
